About me

My name is Doris, a student at Stanford University studying Computer Science from Newark, Delaware. I’m interested in building AI projects, integrating software in robotics, and applying computer science to other fields in impact-driven projects.

I love DIY-ing things, from learning how to build software projects from scratch to crocheting stuffed animals. My current work explores machine learning, computer vision, and robotics, and applying it to messy real-world problems. At the moment, I’m researching at the Stanford Plasma Physics Lab, developing machine learning pipelines for analyzing crop image data and studying the effects of plasma activated water on chardonnay grape vines and romaine lettuce crops.

Outside of engineering, I enjoy supporting the community through outreach and mentorship programs. I work closely with Stanford’s Society of Women Engineers to spread STEM education to gender marginalized communities as the Outreach Mentorship Chair, and previously, I hosted outreach events with my high school robotics team. I also spend my time reading, hiking, cafe-hopping, crocheting, and playing the violin.
